The third year for BattleBots on the Discovery cable network carried over the 'Fight Night' format from the 2019 season. BattleBots season 10 aired as fourteen two-hour episodes in prime time on Thursday nights from December, 2020 to March, 2021. A twelve-episode companion series "BattleBots: Bounty Hunters" featuring a complete small tournament in each episode appeared on the 'Discovery+' streaming network, and was re-shown on the Discovery cable network after the primary series completed.
Sixty-two robots entered the competition in an expanded 'Fight Night' format carried over from the previous two seasons. This format pits the robots in a series of qualifying fights determined entirely by the producers of the show. Robots that survive the qualifying matches are ranked by the show producers to fill thirty-two slots in the single-elimination championship tournament.
