BattleBots Long Beach 1999 tournament trees

The first BattleBots tournament was held August 14-15, 1999 at Cal State Long Beach's Pyramid arena. There was no Superheavyweight class, and the event was not televised.

The tournament structure was unique for BattleBots in that it was made "double elimination" by the inclusion of a "Loser's Bracket" that offered competitors a second chance.

A "Giant Nut" trophy was awarded to the winners of each weight class tournament. Additional Giant Nuts were awarded to robots or drivers in these categories:
